Lyyti is a Finnish diminutive of Lydia. Lydia originates in Greek language and means "coming from Lydia". Lydia was the kingdom of western Asia Minor, today's Turkey, in the Iron Age. The name is also mentioned in the Bible, where Saint Lydia was the first recorded convert to Christianity in Europe. As a feminine given name Lydia is fairly popular in the United States nowadays.
